HoliSASE Fundraiser for

Coalition for the Homeless

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused financial strain for millions of New Yorkers. In August, there were 200,000 pending eviction notices and nearly 1.1 million New Yorkers are food insecure. For nearly 40 years, the Coalition for the Homeless has developed and implemented humane, cost-effective strategies to end mass homelessness in New York City. They provide multifaceted programs aimed at homeless prevention and reducing the homeless population, including Food/Homeless Programs, Crisis Intervention Services, and Job Training Programs.

In the winter leading up to 2021, SASE CCNY and Stony Brook University teamed up to raise money for the millions of New Yorkers who need these services during the holiday season (12/26/20-1/9/21). We raised a total of $707 over two weeks through social media outreach. Check out our social media handles @sase_ccny and @sbusase, where you'll find the challenges we did to promote the fundraiser!
